Sending love to Houston

Just got off the phone with a friend in Houston.  Our flooding in Houstonconversation started with something like, “Houston, we’ve got a problem.”  Torrential rain caused havoc to the city while robbers caused havoc to his home.

He, his wife and baby were only gone an hour, and upon returning found their dogs in a closet.  Can you imagine someone messing with your dogs?!  No!!!

Anyway, they quickly discovered priceless items were stolen, including  two World Series rings from his time with the Texas Rangers.

Bonner PaddockThis afternoon, just when he was feeling frustrated with insurance companies and humanity, he heard Bonner Paddock speak.

Bonner is the founder of OM Foundation, a former NHL Ducks executive, a published author, and a motivational speaker.

Bonner is also the first person with cerebral palsy to summit Mount Kilimanjaro and to finish Ironman Kona.  His insight calmed my friend’s mind by putting his life in perspective.

To give him support, I have a few action items for you.Texas Rangers World Series Ring

  1. If you live in the Houston area, be on the lookout for someone hawking World Series rings.
  2. If you need a motivational speaker, call Bonner Paddock.

Always tri.  Never stop.
