Just discovered that yesterday was National Ice Cream Day, and it just so happens that yesterday a few friends and I walked 2 miles to old Towne Orange to each some at à la minute.
Has anyone ever heard of this place? They use liquid nitrogen to make personalized batches of ice cream. It all happens within minutes. Plus they strive to use local ingredients, and the ice cream base is 100% organic. Love this place.
I ate Strawberry Balsamic. It was so fresh and refreshing, even though the combination took a few licks before winning me over.
Admittedly, it is not the best ice cream I’ve ever tasted, but it’s certainly within the top 5, and it is worth a re-visit to taste Orange Honey.
